Sheikh Waliuz Zaman, a legal consultant, interpreter and writer, settled in East London in 1990 after taking voluntary resignation from the Bangladesh Navy as the lieutenant commander. After moving to Britain, he started a career in the travel agency and moved to the legal field after completing his LLB from University of London. He has been writing poetry since university days and had several poems published at various university publications and newspapers. In Britain, he has published poems in several East London based Bengali newspapers and hopes to publish his first anthology of poetry in 2017. In 2015, he published his first book of eight short stories followed by a novel in 2016.
